Hours: 9.00-5.30pm Mon to Thursday and 9.00-4.30pm on Fridays
Ways of working: We work to a hybrid model. The team comes together in the London office every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with the option of working remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Overview of the role
We are on the lookout for a Customer Data Assistant to join our exciting team at The Drum! You will be tasked with ensuring data is up to date and accurate at all times, with direct responsibility for several key functions, such as maintaining a high-quality database, reports, running data imports and exports, carrying out data sourcing, building, and cleansing tasks, production of Sales campaign segments and assisting with Sales-related projects. This role reports to the Systems Admin Manager and will support our wider Data team as well as playing a key role supporting the Sales and Marketing team with pitches and campaign deliveries.
Key responsibilities
Primary Accountabilities:
- Create campaign segments or contact lists to support commercial campaigns.
- Support the data needs of the marketing team as required.
- Improve the quality of The Drum data, using the appropriate tools to ensure all contacts and companies are correctly coded and categorised.
- Validate contact data via ongoing data cleansing tasks.
- Run regular imports for data from external sources.
- Support the production of accurate and regular management information, reports and data exports as needed.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on day-to-day data and systems related queries.
- Work with external vendors on ad-hoc data tasks and projects as required.
- Support other members of the Data Team and their tasks/projects, where required.
- Support the overall goal of data integration across the business
- Act as a steward of the database, ensuring information is gathered, handled and shared in accordance with internal governance and compliance policies.
- Creation and upkeep of Salesforce reports.
- Training and lead on software (ZoomInfo, Winmo).
- Support data needs of the sales team (dashboards, reports, help on ABM campaigns).
- Support basic systems administration, including user access & data validation errors

Recruitment process

- First stage interviews will be from 222nd January to delve into your application and experience a little more
- There may be a second stage to conduct some scenario-based questions thereafter.
What we’re looking for
- Entry level experience of working with customer data, data marketing, data cleansing, segmentation, list building
- Experience in customer service desirable
- Experience of data and CRM platforms
- Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel
- Experience of working as part of a Data, Marketing or Customer Service team
Bonus points
- Salesforce experience is desirable but not essential
- A qualification in a relevant subject would be preferable, but is not essential
- Hybrid way of working – 3 days a week in our Shoreditch or Glasgow office, and then 2 optional from home or the office
