The Community Impact Program Manager serves as the key support to the Director of The Beacon by managing partnerships, coordinating strategic planning, and overseeing the implementation of high-impact projects that advance the mission of the Advocate National Center for Clinical and Community Impact. Position is responsible for leading interdisciplinary project teams which are strategically aligned to the business needs of Advocate Health and key result areas. Position encompasses project management, consultation, facilitation, data analytics and interpretation, and execution for prioritized operational and financial projects. Position will be responsible for developing metrics to successfully track improvement and will partner with key stakeholders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, plan, and implement National Center for Clinical & Community Impact site projects and stakeholder engagement efforts across multiple teams.

  • Serve as the primary interface with key partners and stakeholders on tasks, deliverables, and issues related to strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Partner with The Beacon and leadership team to identify and resolve complex challenges with practical solutions.

  • Manage multiple projects and project teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to advance the center's mission and create awareness around community impact initiatives.

  • Foster community engagement by creating opportunities for collaboration and amplifying the impact of advocacy efforts.

  • Prepare detailed project plans, including estimates, schedules, and resource requirements.

  • Support the planning, management, and tracking of project budgets.

  • Identify and remove roadblocks or barriers hindering project progress, ensuring smooth execution.

  • Position the Milwaukee-based center as a leading voice for change in the community by developing and promoting events, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and other initiatives to establish the space as a vital community hub.

  • Provide clear and consistent project communication through regular status reports.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field

Certification / License

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health education, training, and/or program management, patient experience and/or clinician experience, with a focus on health equity.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong project management experience in clinical related operations preferred with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong understanding of health disparities, social determinants of health, and culturally competent care practices.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation with the ability to transform insights into actionable learning modules and playbooks.

  • Knowledge of community-based participatory research, implementation science and inclusive framework development

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Position is based in Milwaukee and requires regular in-person, on-site meetings and special events; may require occasional travel.

  • Operates all the equipment necessary to perform the job.

  • Exposed to a normal office environment.

Preferred Job Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree is preferred (Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Project Management, Clinical Operations)

  • Excellent team player

  • Experience engaging with community-based organizations and stakeholders from the public, private, nonprofit, and faith-inspired sectors in the Milwaukee region highly preferred.

  • Understanding complex social and clinical programs in a large metropolitan market preferred
