The role – your passion
A roadsurfer Accounting Clerk will manage financial transactions and coordinate with the home office on all aspects of finance. Responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, preparatory accounting tasks and reconciling bank statements.
You will prepare and analyze financial account entries and transactions
You would need to sort incoming confidential mail, scan, and email it to the relevant stakeholders in this role
Part of the job will be to document and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
You role includes to reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account data
You produce accurate accounting reports and present financial summaries to the management or within the finance department
You will support month-end and year-end close processes
Communicate with the finance team on status updates and any arising issues
Other duties as assigned
What you need to surf the wave with us
Experience with accounting software and data entry
Understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience in handling administrative tasks related to financial operations, like processing invoices and payments
Acting as a liaison between the US operations and the headquarters, ensuring clear and effective communication
Ability to work independently from another continent having the rest of the team working from Germany
Excellent verbal and written communication skills aswell as attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Constant use of computer, keyboard and mouse
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is desired
Minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting or treasure role
Experience in a startup/scaleup environment can be helpful
Salary Range:
$26 to $35/hr
